National Scenic River 50th Anniversary

The Little Miami Watershed Network’s celebration of the Little Miami River being designated as a scenic river 50 years ago.

Hope Taft led the night with several other speakers on the benefits of the river to the area and the work done to make and keep it a treasure.

Historical Clifton

Though often overshadowed by our larger neighbors, Clifton has its fair share of history and fame. Here is just a glimpse:

Clifton is home to the Historic Clifton Mill, one of the largest water powered grist mills still in existence. While they still mill their own flours, what they’re best known for is their legendary Christmas lights display.

Clifton is the birthplace of Woody Hayes, former head football coach of The Ohio State University Buckeyes; in fact, his father was once superintendent of Clifton Union School.
