Historical Clifton

Though often overshadowed by our larger neighbors, Clifton has its fair share of history and fame. Here is just a glimpse:

Clifton is home to the Historic Clifton Mill, one of the largest water powered grist mills still in existence. While they still mill their own flours, what they’re best known for is their legendary Christmas lights display.

Clifton is the birthplace of Woody Hayes, former head football coach of The Ohio State University Buckeyes; in fact, his father was once superintendent of Clifton Union School.
